The Helambu trek is a perfect short trek in Nepal. This trek goes in the Helambu Region overlooking the mountain peaks in the Langtang range of the Himalayas. The trekking trails are blissfully famous for its outstanding natural beauty, fascinating culture, and favorable climates. During this trek you will be able to see beautiful peaks like Langtang Ri, Ganesh Himal, Lang Sisa, Chorkari Ri and many other peaks. Helambu area is populated by the friendly and helpful Sherpa people. There are many teahouses along the route, so you do not need to bring a tent or food, but it is suggested to have a sleeping bag. Along the Helambu Trek you have also chance to see many monasteries which are preserved by locals to keep their tradition alive. The Helambu Trek begins from Sundarijal, an hour's drive from Kathmandu. After about an hour's walk, we enter Shivapuri National Park continuing along the Chisopani, Kutumsang, Thadepati and Sermathang, the trek ends at the Melamchi Pul Bazar in the Helambu region.
Situated to the north of the capital very famous trekking area covered by Langtang National Park is the less visited by the tourists. Making a trek here somewhat more of an adventure. Here the high alpine area, with mountains visible from Lauribinayak pass. A trek up to the Gosainkunda has to be one of the most interesting and holiest short trek available in Nepal. Gosainkunda (the main lake) where it has several sacred lakes, is one of the most popular pilgrimage destinations for Hindu devotees. Gosainkunda is actually the largest among of three main lakes, the other two being the Saraswatikund and Bhairabkunda and more. Hindu legend has it that the lake was formed when the god Shiva plunged his trident (Trisul) into the ground in order to obtain water. Along this section of trail there are impressive views of the mountains including the Manaslu, Ganesh and Langtang Himal ranges. Add to this glacial lakes, rhododendron forests, native flora and fauna, magnificent mountains, forest, animal, birds, monasteries all go to make this region a perfect destination.
Gosainkuna trek starts after a day bus journey to Dhunche and crosses the river and forest to of rhododendron, bamboo and oak below to the Gosainkunda. A short walk around the lake and toward the Lauribinayak Pass is very interesting.

Day 02Full day Kathmandu City excursionAfter breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tours to world heritage sites of Pashupatinath Temple-the holiest Hindu Temple on the bank of sacred Bagmati River, Bodhanath Stupa Buddhist Stupa. Swayambhunath Stupa-the 2500 years old legendary stupa on the hillock also famous to tourist as a monkey temple. Your day tour ends Kathmandu Durbar Square Showcasing living goddess Kumari Temple, Nautale Durbar, the Kaal Bhairav, the Swet Bhairav, Indra chowk and Local market Ason and preparation for trekking.
